Abundant amounts of snow and unique snow ghosts are some of the things that Big White is known for. This popular Okanagan ski resort is just one hour from downtown Clooney. The resort has a vertical drop of 2550 feet and has 119 runways that are served by 16 elevators. More than half of the land is of medium grade and has long and wide-open cruisers that allow you to technique Do it yourself. TELUS Park is a boarding and skiing area complete with rails and jumps. Outside the mountain, you will find 25 km of Nordic cross-country trails, of which 14 km are arranged daily. Sun Peaks Resort
Many people are surprised that Sun Peaks Resort is the second largest ski area in Canada, with an area of more than 4,200 hectares. Spread over three mountains: Mount Todd, Mount Sundance, and Mount Morrisey, you will find 132 runs, many of which are suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers. Thirteen lifts consisting of four high-speed quad seats, two quad seats, and one seat Triple and six surface lifts work with a vertical drop of 2894 feet. On average, the Sun Peaks get about 18 feet of snow each year. Sun Peaks has a ski alpine village right at the foot of the trail, with restaurants and shops. Revelstoke Mountain Resort
The Revelstoke Mountain Resort is located in a snowy valley in eastern British Columbia, where the snowfall is an astonishing 30 feet per year. The ski hill is located on Mount Mackenzie and has a vertical drop of 5,620 feet, the highest vertical drop in North America. Skiing here is moderate to advanced, accounting for 88% of the land. With more than 60 years of operation, SilverStar is one of the best family ski resorts in BC. It offers approximately 2,500 feet of vertical drop and 132 runs, including one that is 5 miles long. The back is steep and deep. One of the highlights of SilverStar is the Alpine Mountain Village, located on a ski hill. Here you will find convenient accommodation options, 18 restaurants, and several unique shops. Apex Mountain Resort
Located near Penticton, Apex is known for its dry, fluffy powder. Sunny skies and long-short lines are also a regular occurrence here. The average waiting time is less than two minutes. Apex is the only Okanagan Valley resort facing northeast. On the plus side, it eliminates unhealthy snow from the sun and stays pristine for longer. Red Mountain Resort
For those of you who are looking for skiing in the old school in a relaxed atmosphere, see nothing more than Red Mountain Resort. This hidden gem of a ski hill is all about skiing and snowboarding. The residential land is more than 3850 hectares and has 110 specific routes. For those who have this skill, rock skiing (tree) is one of the best in North America. You can add a significant vertical here. The elevator lines are always short and even if you have to wait, the locals are a friendly group. Red Mountain Resort now has seven lifts, and the newly installed Topping Creek chair lift has created 300 acres of new recreation. Crocus is also available. You only pay for each payment. The best place to stay nearby is Rosland, a quiet mountain town with a mining history. A variety of hotels, BnBs, and hostels are available with the right choice of restaurants.
